We were so overwhelmed by the support and love showered on us on last week. Midwives from all over the bay area, both LM and CNM, home-birth, birth center, and hospital midwives came to bless us as we start our practice at the birth center. They brought a special warmth and celebratory spirit.
Judith Bishop shared her experiences working at the first birth center to open on the West Coast located at Mt Zion, just steps from SFBC. Maria Iorillo reminded us of the bond we share, responsibility we carry, and the depth of connection that supports us in this work. There was so much love and so many feels just in time for International Day of the Midwife.
Tomorrow, May 7th we’ll be celebrating the birth of our new birth center along with Mother’s Day. Please join us for an open house from 12 noon to 9pm at 2300 Sutter St. Suite 301 San Francisco, CA.
We’ll have an open house from 12 to 9pm starting with coffee and pastries and ending with tasty bites, cocktails and music. There will be lots of fun stuff in between including a clown, face painting, and a silent auction with some great prizes to benefit our nonprofit, Friends of SFBC.
